What’s more impressive is that the feat was achieved in just 13 months with Venue witnessing sales well above 8,000 units a month on average. Although it forayed into a highly competitive segment, it quickly managed to become a popular offering, despite competition from cars such as Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 & Ford EcoSport, etc.
Commenting on the achievement SS Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai India said:
“Hyundai VENUE is India’s first Fully Connected SUV and most awarded Car of The Year 2019-20 setting a chord with New Age customers. With Venue, we have pioneered Fully Connected technology for customers. Additionally, VENUE has paved the way to democratize Global Technologies such as Kappa 1.0 l T-GDi & 7-Speed DCT for Hyundai cars in India, offering customers’ excitement, delight and enhanced value.”
The Hyundai Venue in India is offered with a total of three engine options: 1.0-liter Kappa T-GDI petrol, a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, and a 1.5-litet U2 CRDi diesel engine. It is priced from INR 6.7 lac (PKR 14.8 lac) for 1.2L petrol, INR 8.1 lac (PKR 17.9 lac) for 1.5L diesel, and INR 8.46 lac (PKR 18.7 lac) for 1.0L turbo. Hyundai Venue is also the winner of coveted 2020 Indian Car of the Year award.
