Maruti Suzuki has announced the launch of its all-new Dzire Tour-S taxi sedan in India. It is based on the facelifted latest-gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire which is currently on sale in the Indian market.
The Dzire Tour S is the entry-level fleet-only sedan by Maruti Suzuki that is available in both petrol and a factory-fitted S-CNG option. The petrol version is priced at INR 6.51 lac while the CNG version costs INR 7.36 lac (ex-showroom).
In terms of design, apart from badges, the Tour S remains unchanged when compared to the actual Dzire, but being a low-priced taxi model it does miss out on features such as alloy wheels, fog lamps & side mirrors with integrated turn signals. It has steel wheels, black door handles & black side mirrors, and dedicated Tour S badges.
As for features, the Dzire Tour S taxi gets LED taillamps, a tilt-adjustable steering wheel, a front accessory socket, a manual air conditioner with pollen -filter, ISOFIX seat anchorages, and speed-sensitive door locks. In terms of safety, the car comes equipped with ABS with EBD & BA, ESP, a Speed Limiting System, Reverse Parking Sensors, and Dual Airbags.

Under the hood, the Maruti Dzire Tour S gets a 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that makes 90 hp and 113 Nm in Petrol mode and 78 hp and 99 Nm in CNG mode. Both variants are paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel-efficiency figures are impressive as the petrol-powered Tour S delivers 23.15 km/l while the CNG variant does 32.12 km/kg, making it 21% more efficient than the outgoing model.
