Just a few months ago the Indian publics pressurized Hyundai India on the issue of Kashmir day tweets, even when it was the dealers of Hyundai Nishat that made the tweets, more than a few steps removed from the Hyundai India.

The Indians can any time pressurize Hyundai India to not give things to Hyundai Nishat, at that time how will Mian Mansha maintain his business continuity?

Business with India has too many problems. I wished it did not. Both countries could benefit greatly from trade with each other. Keeping the moral and political aspect of the Pakistan/India dynamic aside, cost of business is not the issue, Stability is…

We two counties have a very strained relationship. We unfortunately cannot keep business and other problems separate. China and India have a trade relationship because, to some extent, China has the business sense or maturity enough not to let politics interfere in business. Yet the belt road, instead of going through India, is going through Pakistan. (Yes I know there were other factors at play but for now we can see that political policy and outlook has played a role.)

Let us say that we start trade with India. A lot of businesses, not just the auto sector, start imports from India. Many start exports to India as well. Things are looking up and business is going good. Suddenly and very inevitably, Pakistan and India get into it over some reason or another. Suddenly the Indian and/or Pakistani government decides to stop any and all trade with India; what of the businesses now dependant on that trade to and from India? What will happen to them and by extension what will happen to the nation because of the economical impact of such a decision?

You are advocating dependence on a nation that we just cannot depend on. we would potentially be giving that nation the power to cause a lot of economic harm to Pakistan when ever they see fit.

How many times, for political reasons in the recent past has India tired to start something? The latest being the “accidental” launch of their missiles at Pakistan. A very unfortunate move for them because that “stunt” is now potentially costing them a missiles deal with Philippines. How very ironic. 😁

This is the most stupid policy of a country which produces or manufacturers almost nothing. No wonder we stay poor for a foreseeable future. Conflict with India is one of the main reasons for this country living poor, and situation will not improve unless we act aggressively on this from. People and government needs to become more practical and reasonable in terms of their relationship with neighbours. What Mansha recommend was most wise thing to think and act upon. If people think him as selfish caring about his benefits and interest why can’t a country as whole think about nation’s largest interests.

Of course! Making 30 year old vehicles all by ourselves is way more than a tedious and resource intensive task than it is to manufacture 3rd gen fighter jets and tanks. 😁

Even if we managed to make a stable trade relationship with India with no politics involving what so ever, and even if we cut off China's hands to shake hands with India for parts dependency, what do you think is gonna happen? Cars are gonna get cheaper and more affordable? NOPE!! Mr. Mansha is only thinking about increasing his profit margin. That's all! He, as a businessman doesn't care that we would have to try to tend relationships with our biggest enemy since the creation of Pakistan, he is only thinking about what kind of profit he will be getting from such a relationship! If he is such an altruist worrying about decreasing prices for the masses, why hasn't he invested in actual manufacturing yet and is still dependent on imports, even from India? Maybe it is time we stop allowing capitalist corporations and businessmen to decide and work out the laws and policies of our country, maybe then we can have less of the wonder that is our "Auto Policy"! 🙄😒 Wow, that’s a WONDERFUL Idea!! Thanks Mian Mansha. Very nice of you to think about the people. 🙄
