The 10th generation Honda Accord has received a 5-star rating in a crash test conducted by the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia).

Accord scored an overall 91.79 points out of 100, including a frontal offset impact test, side impact test, and evaluation of safety features. Furthermore it scored an impressive 49.07 points (out of 50) for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 23.28 points (out of 25) for Child Occupant Protection (COP), and 19.44 (out of 25) for and Safety Assist Technologies (SATs).
According to Asean NCAP, the 2019 Honda Accord gave a ‘remarkable performance’ in the tests. Standard safety features include a body structure designed using Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) plus a full range of active and passive safety technologies such as six airbags; Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA); Hill Start Assist (HSA); Emergency Stop Signal (ESS); Multi-angle Rearview Camera; Electric Parking Brake (EPB); Automatic Brake Hold; and Honda LaneWatch.
The all-new Honda Accord is also equipped with Honda SENSING, an advanced driving assist system that supports the driver to avoid a collision or mitigate the impact if one occurs. Other advanced safety features that have been introduced for the first time include:
- Parking Assist: makes reverse and parallel parking easier by providing automatic steering assistance
- Multi View Camera: assists driving by covering blind spots from the driver’s seat
- Cross Traffic Monitor: enhances driver confidence when reversing while the view from the driver’s seat is obstructed
Earlier this year, Honda Atlas introduced the 10th generation Accord in Pakistan priced at PKR 11,999,000. It is powered by Earth Dreams 1.5 liter (1498cc) DOHC inline 4-cylinder VTEC turbocharged engine delivering 135hp of power and 233Nm of torque and is paired to an Earth Dreams CVT gearbox.
