BYD Yangwang U8 Interior Unveiled

Earlier this year, Chinese EV giant BYD formally launched its premium electric sub-brand called Yangwang along with its first model – the Yangwang U8 SUV. At that time the company only revealed its exterior but now BYD has released interior images of the U8 and we must say it’s as impressive as the exterior.

The interior of the U8 looks really cozy & comfortable, which shows the Yangwang has gone above and beyond what auto enthusiasts have come to anticipate from lavish cabins in offroad vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler and Range Rover. The cabin has the formal sense of a Bentley or Rolls-Royce.

“Halo Cockpit” is Yangwang’s moniker for interior design. All of the seats are upholstered in brown Nappa leather, and there’s a sky roof with a floating starry sky headliner that can be customized in various design patterns.

A vertical 12.8-inch Galaxy curved screen with a 37° inclination angle comes along with the Yangwang U8. It makes use of a curved OLED display with vibrant colors and great contrast. The 23.6-inch instrument panel and passenger entertainment screen are also there and are visible through the Galaxy’s curved screen’s back.

There is a flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel with four spokes. The bottom of the wheel can be utilized to change the driving/ terrain mode in addition to having an auxiliary driving indication light on top.

Two 12.8-inch floating screens provide entertainment for the back-row passengers. The Evidence Series Hi-End audio system, which has 22 speakers, completes the interior and provides occupants with a 3D immersive audio experience. The U8 will be available in both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations, despite the fact that the company’s interior photos released at this point only show us a 5-seat version.
