Geely, the Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company is preparing to make its comeback in Pakistan. With Pakistan’s new automobile policy announced & the benefits of CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor), as expected, the Chinese companies will take maximum advantage of the scenario.

Geely is no longer an ordinary Chinese automaker; they are the owners of London Taxi Company & Swedish Volvo brand of cars. Volvo’s ex-design chief, Peter Horbury is now heading Geely’s department of automobile design as Senior Vice President. And together with Volvo, they has just recently launched Lynk & Co. brand which uses the CMA platform jointly developed by Volvo & Geely.

Geely’s Emgrand branded cars are doing exceptionally well in global markets and it will be great to see them resuming back their operations in our country. Whether Geely will import vehicles or assemble them locally is yet unclear, however we will keep you updated as soon as there is more information available.
