Hyundai has announced that it has sold 1 million Creta units in India. The Hyundai Creta has been the automaker’s best-selling vehicle in the Indian market for the last 8 years, with one being sold every five minutes.
Launched in 2015, the Creta also has a good number of export figures. With cumulative sales in the Indian domestic market exceeding 10 lac units, more than 2.8 lac units have been exported to overseas markets. Commenting on the milestone, Tarun Garg, COO, of Hyundai India, said:

To take its popularity to the next level, a thoroughly-refreshed 2024 Hyundai Creta was launched earlier this year priced from INR 10.99 lac. Available in naturally aspirated, turbocharged, and diesel engine options, the Creta comes rich in features & equipment while the newly introduced facelift has received an overwhelming response from Indian buyers.
The new Creta helped Hyundai regain its spot as the 2nd largest automaker in India in terms of sales while playing a key part in helping the company record its highest-ever monthly sales in January 2024. Hyundai India, registered record sales of 57,115 units in January 2024, up 14% over 50,106 units sold in January 2023. It was also a 34% MoM higher than 42,750 units sold in December 2023.

In terms of individual sales, Creta led the sales chart with 13,212 units in January 2024, witnessing a 12% YoY de-growth over 15,037 units sold in January 2023 while MoM sales improved by 43% from 9,243 units sold in December 2023.
