Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Launched in India at INR 4.99 Lac

Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 Nios hatchback in India with prices starting from INR 4.99 lac (equals PKR 10.95 lac). The regular i10 hatchback continues to be sold alongside.

The Grand i10 Nios gets the signature ‘cascading grille’ up front, new bumper design along with new projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The top-spec variants also gets and projector fog lamps. The side profile looks similar to the Grand i10, though the new design 15-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out C-pillar, roof rails and shark fin antenna provide the main differentiators. Towards the back, the hatchback gets new design tail-lamps and bumper.

Measuring 3,805 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height and having a wheelbase of 2,450 mm– its 40mm longer, 20mm wider and has a wheelbase that is 15mm longer than the regular i10 hatchback.

Inside the Grand i10 Nios gets a digital speedometer and cluster with embedded MID, rear AC vents, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system which offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Voice Recognition function and i-Blue Smartphone App support, and first-in-segment wireless phone charging and Arkamys Premium Sound System with 4 modes to choose from– Natural, Live, Lounge and Club.

As for safety, the Grand i10 Nios packs features such as ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, rear parking sensors and seat belt pre-tensioner with load limiter as standard. Impact sensing auto door unlock, rear parking camera and speed sensing auto door lock are included in selected configurations.

The Grand i10 Nios comes available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2-liter Kappa petrol unit churns out 83hp of power and 113.75 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-liter CRDI diesel engine develops 75hp of power and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to either a 5-speed manual or Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).

While the petrol variants are priced between INR 4.99 lac to INR 7.13 lac, the diesel variants cost between INR 6.7 lac to INR 7.99 lac.
