Hyundai Venue Launched in India at INR 6.5 lac

Hyundai has launched its all-new compact SUV– the Venue in India with prices starting at INR 6.5 lac, whereas the flagship version costs as high as INR 11.10 lac.

There are three engine options on offer. The basic version has a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with 83 PS and 115 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Then there is a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine good for 120 PS and 172 Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT as option. The last engine option is a 1.4L turbocharged diesel developing 90 PS and 220 Nm paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Hyundai Venue measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width and 1,605 mm in height while having a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. In terms of equipment, the base Venue gets power steering, AC, front power windows and a 12V socket. Higher trims get features such as auto climate control, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, diamond cut alloy wheels, wireless charging and the company’s BlueLink connectivity technology.

Features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, central locking, impact sensing auto door unlock, speed sensing auto door lock, front seatbelt reminder, high-speed alert and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages are standard. Side and curtain airbags, ESC, VSM, HAC, rear camera, passive keyless entry, burglar alarm and more safety features are available in high-end trims.

Hyundai Venue is being marketed as India’s first connected SUV. It packs 33 different connected vehicle features, out of which 10 are exclusive to Indian market. These features are offered under Hyundai Blue Link which has an in-built Vodafone-Idea eSIM and a cloud-based voice recognition platform from Sound Hound.
