Neta Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese EV maker Hozon Auto, has officially launched the Neta L SUV in the Chinese market. The Neta L is currently available only in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, while the battery electric (BEV) variants will be offered later this year.
The Neta L EREV is offered in four variants priced at 129,900 yuan ($17,900), 136,900 yuan ($18,900), 149,900 yuan ($20,700), and 159,900 yuan ($22,000) respectively. Positioned as a medium-sized SUV and built based on Neta’s Shanhai Platform 2.0, the Neta L 5-seater SUV measures 4,770/1,900/1,660 mm with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm. It also boasts an impressive drag coefficient of 0.258Cd.
The Neta L is powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine (91hp/ 231Nm) that acts as a range-extender and a 40.27 kWh LFP battery pack providing a CLTC battery range of up to 310 kilometers. With a full tank and full battery, the Neta L delivers a combined CLTC driving range of 1,300 km. It can charge from 30% to 80% in less than 19 minutes making it the fastest-charging EREV in the world, as claimed by Neta.
Inside, there is a large dual 15.6-inch screen setup for the central control screen. The front-passenger entertainment screen is eye-catching, has a 2K resolution, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The LCD instrument panel is located behind the flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. The entertainment screen has a built-in Neta Sky Theater audio and video system with 16 in-car speakers, according to the automaker. The cockpit also supports a variety of modes including nap mode, one-touch SPA mode, camping mode, outdoor viewing mode, karaoke mode, and pet mode.
Furthermore, the cockpit has a 6.6L capacity refrigerator, the temperature of which can be adjusted physically on the screen and remotely via voice commands or mobile apps. The rear passengers can also access folding tray tables from the back of the front seats. Furthermore, the seats support 8-point massage as well as one-touch switching to zero gravity.
Talking about safety, the Neta L is equipped with five millimeter-wave radars, a front-view camera, four surround-view (360) cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a Driver Monitoring system camera, realizing Neta AD advanced driving assistance functions including parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, and lane centering assist.
