Petrol Prices Increased by Rs 9

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved an increase in the prices of petroleum products after which petrol, with an increase of Rs 9, will be sold at Rs 108.42 per liter.

Similarly, high speed diesel with an increase of Rs 4.89 will now be available at Rs 122.32 per liter. The new rate of Kerosene oil is PKR 96.77 per liter whereas Light-speed diesel is now available for PKR 86.94 per liter.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended the government to increase prices of petroleum products by up to Rs 14 following fluctuation in global oil prices. However the decision was deferred by the Federal cabinet and the matter was referred to the ECC for further consideration.
