The government on Wednesday has increased the price of petrol by Rs 3.56 per liter effective from 1st March, 2018.
The price of petrol has been increased to Rs 88.07 from Rs 84.51, and that of kerosene by Rs 6.28 per liter, reaching Rs 76.46 from Rs 70.18 per liter, the highest since October 2014 due to increased rates in the international market.
The price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been jacked up by Rs 2.62 per liter to reach Rs 98.45 from Rs 95.83 per liter. The price for Light Diesel Oil has been increased by Rs 1.00 per liter to reach Rs 65.30 from Rs 64.30 per liter.
