Peugeot made its presence felt at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) by displaying the 2008 Sport Concept. This decked-out 2008 appears prepared to compete on rigorous rally stages with its rally-inspired appearance.
The Sport Concept offers a variety of aesthetic upgrades and is taller, longer, and wider than the regular Peugeot 2008. First and foremost, there is the enormous wing at the back, which will undoubtedly provide enough downforce to keep the wheels firmly planted. To aid improve airflow, it also has dual exhausts and a sizable diffuser.

The relatively compact 2008 appears bigger and more muscular because of the broader body kit. A front lip spoiler is also included, which improves the aerodynamics of the car at high speeds. It’s also important to note that the 2008 Sport Concept lacks rear door handles, which suggests Peugeot actually designed this model as a two-door rally car.

The 2008 Sport Concept also features unique decals, enormous side skirts, blacked-out roof rails, and rally-style alloy wheels painted a vivid neon green.

Will Peugeot build a production model of the 2008 Sport Concept? It’s quite doubtful, considering the concept in question could simply be a design study for a sportier version of the same crossover. Having said that, we certainly hope Peugeot makes the Sport Concept available in some form in the not-too-distant future.
