Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the 2020 Celerio in India with BS-VI compliant engine. The updated Celerio range is priced between INR 4.41 lac and INR 5.67 lac. The upgrade has made the Celerio INR 15,000 costlier than the pre-updated models.

The engine is a K10B unit with 67hp of power and 90Nm of torque and comes mated to 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox options. According to Maruti the new engine maintains the same power and torque figures with a claimed fuel economy figures of 23 km in a liter. There are no changes in the features or the way the car looks. Equipment-wise, the 2020 Celerio boasts dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors as standard.
Maruti also offers a more funky version of the Celerio, called as the Celerio X. It is being reported that the Celerio X will get the BS-VI upgrade in coming months, however it is also being said that the company might pull the plugs off the cosmetically different variant.
