2024 Vantage is the Fastest Model in Aston Martin’s History

The most recent version of the Vantage model is the pinnacle of Aston Martin’s 74-year history in terms of performance and driver centrism. Although it is sort of a thorough facelift, that features sharper styling enhancements, it is the performance upgrade that truly sets the 2024 Aston Martin Vantage apart.

The visually striking new Vantage is 30 mm wider than the preceding model and has a 50/50 weight distribution. It features a redesigned front end, reworked air vents on both sides and new 21-inch forged alloy wheels.

The interior appeals to the need for comfort and elegance, in contrast to its dominating exterior. The cockpit is distinguished by features like slim air vents, an integrated 10.25-inch touchscreen, and an 11-speaker sound system to name a few. According to Roberto Fedeli, Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer:

“With a perfectly balanced front-engined rear-wheel drive chassis aided by industry-leading Active Vehicle Dynamics, it combines outright capability with progression and exploitability. Matched by muscular styling and completed by an all-new ultra-luxury interior packed with the latest connected technology and infotainment, it is the perfect contemporary interpretation of a time-honored legend.”

The road-going Vantage is supported by the same bonded aluminum chassis as its GT3 equivalent. A state-of-the-art suspension system that includes more robust engine mounts on the front double-wishbone system assists in supporting the Vantage. The Vantage also benefits from the adjustment of the front body cross member and its corresponding front engine cross bracing.

A wealth of electronic improvements meant to hone and elevate the driving experience are combined with an extension and strengthening of the Vantage’s mechanical architecture. This comprises, among other things, the utilization of an electronic rear differential, an advanced inertial measurement unit, ABS with an integrated brake slip control system, and an adjustable traction control system.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-sourced 4.0L V8 engine in the Vantage now produces a massive 656 hp, which is 153 horses more than the pre-facelift model. This is achieved with the help of new camshafts, larger turbos, and a modified compression ratio. A total of three new heat exchangers have been added to manage both coolant and charge air temperature, whereas the oil cooler is now larger as well.

The engine is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels via an electronic limited-slip differential. The setup enables the new Aston Martin Vantage to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.4 seconds. Production of the 2024 Aston Martin Vantage will begin in Q1, with deliveries set to begin towards the mid of this year.
