Hyundai Makes a Decent Start for 2024

Hyundai had a decent start to 2024 in Pakistan after a somewhat uneventful previous year. Remember that while the industry as a whole saw a sharp drop in sales in 2023, Hyundai was the least impacted.

With 832 units, sales of Hyundai cars in Pakistan increased by 134% in January 2024 when compared to the 356 units sold in the previous month of December 2023. Among the key performers, Tucson maintained its reputation as the bestselling Hyundai in Pakistan with 298 units in January which is 195% more than the 101 units sold in the preceding month.

The newly introduced Santa Fe despite being the priciest vehicle in the lineup continues to post outstanding sales with 225 units sold. However, Porter commercial pickup sales fell by 12% in January, totaling just 120 units.

But while the numbers look good compared to the other automakers, they still fall well short of the figures of January 2023. The 832 units sold by Hyundai in January 2024 are 35% less than the sales a year earlier in January 2023.
