2nd-gen Honda Amaze Crosses 200,000 Units Sales Milestone in India

The 2nd gen Honda Amaze subcompact sedan has just crossed the 2,00,000 units sales milestone in India since its launch in May 2018. The Amaze is considered as one of Honda’s most successful models in Indian market and has been well accepted by 460,000+ customers since the 1st gen model was introduced in April 2013.

The Amaze in India comes powered by 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine options, available in manual and CVT gearbox options. Fuel economy for petrol versions are rated at 18.6 km per liter whereas the diesel is capable to return up to 24.7 km in a liter.

Standard safety equipment in Honda Amaze includes dual SRS airbags, anti-lock brake system (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX seats, engine immobilizer, rear multi-view camera with guidelines, automatic headlight control with light sensor, driver side window one-touch up/down with pinch guard, rear parking sensor, impact mitigating front headrests and pedestrian injury mitigation technology. Inside there is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity as well as a multi-view rear camera.

The Amaze is Honda’s strategic entry model, specifically developed for the Indian consumer, and exclusively Made in India which boasts 95% localization. It is priced from INR 6.34 lac (PKR 14.78 lac) for the base 1.2L E (petrol) MT variant and goes as high as INR 11.17 lac (PKR 26.05 lac) for the diesel VX CVT version.
