Hyundai has finally revealed the all-new Santro hatchback in India resurrecting the famous nameplate after an absence of nearly a decade.
Built on an entirely new platform, the all-new Hyundai Santro is one of the most anticipated offerings of the season and gels with Hyundai’s 20th anniversary in India. Santro’s bookings will commence from 10th October while the car will officially be launched on the 23rd of this month.
The first pictures show a very attractive design for the new hatchback. Up front there is Hyundai’s Signature cascade grille accompanied by sleek sweptback headlamps. The grille gets a ring of chrome around its inner perimeter and there are high mounted fog lamps on a blacked out casing.

The side profile shows heavily flared wheel arches and body colored pillars. Plus there is a kink at the rear window much like we have seen on the Honda BR-V here. The tail lamps are placed on the outer edges of the rear section and are visible in the silhouette.
As seen in the images surfaced earlier, the new Santro gets a premium interior and comes with dual tone beige and black interior and upholstery. The dashboard features a touchscreen infotainment system with large vertically mounted air-con vents on either side. There are circular vents at far ends reminding us of the classic Santro that we have seen here.
Hyundai has also packed in the Santro with new age technology features including segment-first 6.5 inch Touch Screen Audio Video System. The Multi-media system is equipped with smart phone connectivity – Android auto, Apple Carplay and Mirror Link along with supporting voice recognition function & rear parking camera display on screen. The Santro also sees the introduction of rear AC vents which is a segment first.
The all-new Hyundai Santro is 3610 mm which makes it 45 mm longer than old Santro. The wheelbase is said to have been improved too which will result in better occupant spacing.
