Changan Introduces Karvaan MPV with 1.2L Engine

Changan has introduced the Karvaan MPV with a new 1.2L engine in Pakistan. The MPV was previously available with a 1.0L engine. The introductory price of the latest variant is PKR 29.99 lac ex-dealership.

According to the company, the new engine offers 42% more power & 20% better fuel efficiency compared to the previously offered 1.0L engine, while also making the cabin quieter than before. The 1243cc engine delivers 97hp of power and 119Nm of torque which is 35 hp and 27 Nm more than what the 1000cc engine produced. The transmission, however, continues to be a 5-speed manual which sends power to the rear wheels.

In terms of features & equipment, the 6+1 seat MPV remains unchanged. Highlights include Projector Headlamps, Fog lamps, Central locking, beige/grey combination interior, 14-inch wheels, Dual AC, MP3 Player with AM/FM Radio, AUX, USB, 2 speakers, Row 1 (4-way adjustable seats), Row 2 (2-way Adjustable, fold down seats), Row 3 (fixed, fold down seats), Electronic Power Steering, front power windows, and LCD instrument cluster.
