Chery will Launch 8 New Models in 2017

Annual sales volume of Chery Automobiles stood 704,700 units in 2016, increasing 28% and hitting a historical high. Not only the sales of Chery Brand vehicles increased 16%, sales of its joint-venture brands Qoros and Chery JLR also grew well.

At the beginning of 2016, Chery officially released its “Technology 2.0, Quality 2.0 and Internationalization 2.0” plan. Boosted by Chery, Qoros, Chery JLR and Chery Holding, Chery Group reach an annual sales volume of 704,700 units in 2016. Exported vehicles reach 88,081 units, accounting for 28% of total exporting volume in China while ranking as the 1st among all Chinese brands for 14 consecutive years. Chery also surpassed its annual sales target of 600,000 units.

Chery’s newly launched models have won great market recognition. Arrizo 5 sells more than 100,000 units in its nine-month period, after it was launched in March 2016. Its single monthly sales volume exceeds 20,000 units in December 2016 alone. Monthly sales of Tiggo 7 SUV, which was launched in September 2016, surpassed 10,000 units in December. Three domestic models, Jaguar XFL, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Land Rover Evoque, have total sales of 62,468 units, accounting for 52% of JLR’s total sales in China.

 

In 2017, Chery will launch at least 8 new models into the market including T17, Arrizo 5 (1.5T CVT/MT) and Tiggo 7(DCT).
