Deepal, an electric car brand under Changan Automobile, announced on December 30, 2024, that it had reached a significant milestone by producing its 400,000th vehicle. The milestone vehicle, an S05, rolled off the assembly line just 29 months after the brand’s launch. President Dang Chenghao also revealed that Deepal sold over 240,000 units in 2024.
Deepal reportedly achieved its first 100,000 units in just 14 months. Currently, the brand offers five models in China: the S05, L07, S07, G318, and SL03.
Looking ahead to 2025, Deepal aims to deliver 500,000 vehicles, with 400,000 allocated for the domestic market and 100,000 for international markets. The upcoming S09 SUV is expected to play a key role in achieving this goal, alongside expansion into additional overseas markets such as Malaysia and Singapore.

Deepal which already has its presence in Pakistan with the S07 and L07 EVs, plans to have its vehicles available in 81 countries by the end of 2025. Thailand, its first international market, saw the launch of the S07 and L07 in January 2024. Furthermore, Changan is set to open its first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia, located in Thailand, in Q1 2025.
