Dongfeng has launched the Aeolus Yixuan Mach Edition in China. Available in 5 variants, the sedan is priced between 64,900 yuan and 93,900 ($8,900 – $12,900 USD), which converts into PKR 19.7 lac to PKR 28.5 lac.

Aeolus (Fengshen in Chinese) is a sub-brand under Dongfeng Motors umbrella. The Yixuan sedan was first introduced in 2020 and since then has seen different variants added to the lineup, including this one shared earlier.
In terms of dimensions, the length of the sedan is 10mm longer than the regular variants due to the extended bumpers. Measuring in at 4,670/1,812/1,490mm with a 2,680mm wheelbase, the Mach Edition comes in dual-tone color schemes with a black roof. Plus the door handles, side mirrors as well as the 17-inch wheels are blackened, while it gets yellow colored brake calipers.
As for looks, the fascia is equipped with a large inverted trapezoidal grille with a black mesh structure, integrated with sharp headlights on either sides. A yellow decorative strip is added to the bumper, further enhancing the sportiness of the car. The rear features an indented bumper with black vertical inserts running from tail lights & extending all the way to the lower section forming sort of a boomerang shape. There is a small matte black sporty wing and four exhaust pipes to round up the exterior.
Inside, the sporty sedan looks youthful and energetic with a contrasting color mix of yellow, orange, and black. It also comes with a D-cut multi-function steering wheel, a 7-inch instrument panel, and a 13-inch vertical central control screen. Other features include key-less entry, push button start, wireless charging, suede seats and a sunroof.
Under the hood, the Aeolus Yixuan Mach Edition gets a choice of two engines— a 1.5L naturally aspirated and a 1.5T turbocharged unit. The naturally aspirated engine has a maximum power of 123 hp and a peak torque of 158 Nm, and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT. The 1.5T turbocharged engine has a maximum power of 195 hp and a peak torque of 300 Nm, and is mated to a 6-speed DCT gearbox.

With a price starting from just $8,900 (PKR 19.7 lac), the Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan Mach Edition (in China) is in fact even cheaper than the likes of 660cc Suzuki Alto in Pakistan which is priced at PKR 19.76 lac for VXR, PKR 21.20 lac for VXR AGS and PKR 22.23 lac for the VXL AGS variant.
