Chinese automaker Geely has officially launched the FY11 Xingyue Coupe SUV in the Chinese market. The new FY11 Xingyue Coupe SUV is distributed across 11 trims with three powertrain options.

There is a 3-cylinder 1.5T plug-in hybrid unit with a maximum power of 180 hp and a peak torque of 265 Nm. Then there is a 48V mild hybrid system, which is already deployed with the Borui GE, having a maximum engine power of 177 hp, and a peak torque of 255 Nm. These units will be paired to 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
The range-topping is the 2.0TD T5 engine, with a maximum power of 238 hp and peak torque of 350 Nm, mated to Aisin 8-speed manual gearbox. With AWD system, it will help the FY11 get an acceleration time of 6.8 seconds from 0-100km/h.

In terms of safety, the FY11 Xingyue inherits on Geely’s “safety identification circle” technologies. It comes with 22 exterior sensors, allowing it to reach L2 levels of intelligent driving with features such as ICC Intelligent Cruise Control, TJA Traffic Jam Assistance, Full Speed ACC Adaptive Cruise Control, LKS Lane Keeping System, etc.
Parking has been made easier with an APA automatic park assist system developed by Bosch, which can automatically scan for parking spots and park the Xing Yue with a push of a button. Along with 360° HD panoramic imaging system, parking has never been easier.
Interestingly, the Xingyue is also equipped with a Face-ID system which automatically adjusts seat position, mirrors and entertainment unit based on facial recognition. Needless to say, connectivity comes via Geely’s GKUI, now in the latest 2.0 version with a new improved user interface, intelligent speech recognition, and navigation.
Other features include paddle shifters, touch operated multimedia and air-conditioning controls, wireless charging, HUD display, BOSE sound system, full LCD instrument panel, hot & cold cup holders, and electrically adjustable seats etc.
The FY11 Xingyue is penned by Geely’s Design studio in Shanghai, featuring signature expanding cosmos grille, muscular shoulder lines and heavily sculpted lower air intakes. Built on the CMA modular architecture, the FY11 Xingyue measures 4,605/1,878/1,643mm and has a wheelbase of 2,700mm.
