Honda Atlas has announced yet another massive increase in the prices of its locally assembled vehicles. Although the core reason is the 25% GST imposed by the government which encompasses CUVs & SUVs (regardless of engine capacities) as well as passenger vehicles with 1400cc & above engine displacements, the company has increased the prices of 1.2L City sedan too which doesn’t actually get hit by the tax hike.
The prices of 1.2L Honda City variants have been hiked by up to Rs 220,000 while that of 1.5L and Aspire variants have gone up by Rs 560,000. The price of the Honda BR-V has been increased by Rs 580,000 while HR-V has witnessed an increase of up to Rs 800,000. The most significant increase comes in the price of the Honda Civic which has been hiked by up to Rs 1,000,000. The new prices are effective from 14th March 2023.
