To diversify its offerings, Honda has announced plans to sell two generations of the Amaze sedan side by side in the Indian market. This approach will cater to a broader range of customers by offering the newly launched Amaze alongside its previous generation model.

This isn’t the first time Honda has adopted such a strategy; the automaker previously sold the 6th-generation City alongside the 7th-generation model for an extended period. Later, however, the older generation was eventually phased out entirely.
The Amaze, one of Honda’s most popular compact sedans, has played a pivotal role in the brand’s success in India. By offering two versions of the sedan simultaneously, Honda aims to attract both budget-conscious buyers and those looking for a more premium experience in the compact sedan segment.
What to Expect
The outgone generation Amaze will continue to target entry-level sedan buyers with its competitive pricing and reliable performance. Meanwhile, the new-generation Amaze comes with substantial enhancements, such as updated styling, modern features, and enhanced safety standards, designed to attract a younger and more tech-savvy audience. The second-, and third-generation Honda Amaze sedans are priced starting at INR 7.63 lac and INR 8 lac, respectively (ex-showroom).
