The new Hyundai i20 facelift has been launched in India with prices starting at INR 6.99 lac (ex-showroom). Available in 8 colors and 5 variants, the refreshed model gets cosmetic updates and feature additions over the pre-facelift model.
Changes in the new i20 facelift include a new grille, revised LED headlamps and inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, revised front and rear bumpers, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and a 3D Hyundai logo on the bonnet.
The interior of the 2023 Hyundai i20 features a grey and black color scheme, a 7-speaker Bose audio system, semi-leatherette seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, leatherette seats and door armrests, and the recognizable ambient sounds of nature feature. It has 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, HAC, VSM, and rear parking sensors as standard safety features. TPMS, OTA updates, and Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity are also available.
Under the hood, a 1.2L four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor with ISG serves the duty. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or an IVT gearbox and produces 82hp of power and 115Nm of torque. It gets a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Hyundai i20 competes against the likes of Maruti Baleno and Dzire, Toyota Glanza, Honda Amaze, and Tata Altroz in the highly competitive Indian market.
