Hyundai has showcased the Ioniq 6 EV sedan at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023. The vehicle which is based on the E-GMP architecture will be the third electric vehicle to be introduced by Hyundai in India after the Kona EV and Ioniq 5 EV.
As seen in previous posts, the Ioniq 6 gets a coupe-like roofline and elongated cuts and creases to give it a sleek appeal. In terms of dimensions, the Ioniq 6 EV measures 4,855mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,495mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,950mm. The feature list includes LED headlamps with dual LED strips, flush-fitting door handles, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, 6 airbags and ADAS.

Inside, the cabin continues to house two large 12-inch screens, one for infotainment and the other for the driver’s cockpit. The eco-friendly cabin is designed to cocoon its occupants with mindful personal space and practical features for an elevated mobility experience. Other new features on the inside include buttonless slim doors, a bridge-type central console with storage space, a sliding glove box, 64-color dual ambient lighting, and speed sync lighting on the front doors among others. The use of a dedicated EV platform helps the Ioniq 6 achieve a flat floor at the rear, which helps in accommodating 5 passengers with ease.

The Ioniq 6 is offered in two battery packs, which include a 53kWh unit and a 77kWh unit. The RWD version generates 228hp of power and 350Nm of torque, while the AWD version with a dual motor setup produces 325hp and 605Nm. Depending on the variant, the vehicle offers a WLTP-certified driving range between 429km and 614km.
