Hyundai-Nishat has increased the price of Hyundai Tucson crossover in Pakistan. The revised prices are effective from 25th March 2022.

With an increase of Rs 250,000 the base Tucson GLS Sport FWD variant is now available for PKR 57.99 lac whereas the flagship Tucson Ultimate AWD variant with an increase of Rs 300,000 now cost PKR 62.99 lac. Previously the two variants were available for PKR 55.49 lac and PKR 59.99 lac respectively.
According to Hyundai-Nishat, the increase in price comes in back of rising freight charges, deprecating currency, and input cost of CKD kits and local parts. However the company is yet to announce price revisions of its other local assembled products which include Porter, Elantra and Sonata.

Car makers including Proton, Toyota and Honda have already increased the prices of its products whereas at least 10-15% further increase can be expected before the new financial budget 2022-23. Other automakers are also inline to revise the prices of local assembled products in near future.
