After 3 years of debut, Hyundai has unveiled the new Bayon facelift featuring a bold and robust design, with interior and tech upgrades including an extensive list of intelligent connectivity and safety features. Designed primarily for the European markets, it is Hyundai’s smallest SUV in Hyundai’s European line-up and slots below the Kona.
The refreshed Hyundai Bayon B-segment crossover SUV boasts a sharp and distinctive design featuring a front LED DRL bar that has been integrated to create a Seamless Horizon light signature. The shape and pattern of the front bumper, as well as the radiator grille, have been enhanced to create a bolder and more rugged appearance.
The rear end features a redesigned bumper, while newly designed 16- and 17-inch wheels have been added. A total of 9 exterior colors are available, including four new shades: Lumen Grey Pearl, Meta Blue Pearl, Lucid Lime Metallic, and Vibrant Blue Pearl. An optional two-tone roof in Phantom Black is also available with 7 exterior colors.
The new 2024 Hyundai Bayon offers advanced connectivity technology. Customers now benefit from a 4.2-inch LCD cluster and a 10.25-inch Audio Visual Navigation Screen (AVN) screen as standard. New Bayon continues to offer features that were already popular in the pre-facelift version, such as the optional 10.25-inch configurable digital cluster with different graphics, depending on the drive mode, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, and the latest update to Bluelink® telematics.
The state-of-the-art digital cockpit and top-line infotainment features have been made even better, thanks to the introduction of Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates. A premium Bose sound system rounds off the package, giving occupants a high-quality listening experience owing to its 8 speakers, including a subwoofer.
The refreshed model has replaced lightbulbs with LED technology for increased in-car illumination, from optional LED Room/Map and Sunvisor lamps, and has the option of multicolor front ambient lighting technology, which enables passengers to adjust the color of the interior lighting to fit their mood.
In terms of safety, the new Bayon offers several semi-autonomous driving features including Lane Following Assist (LFA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) to name a few. The 2024 Bayon now also features second-generation eCall based on the 4G network, which automatically alerts emergency services if the vehicle’s airbags are deployed in case of an accident. Alternatively, occupants can also activate this feature with the press of a button.
