Indus Motor Company (IMC) is running a teaser campaign on its social platforms regarding the launch of a new vehicle. As evident from the images, it’s quite sure that IMC is gearing up to launch the all new Toyota HiAce in Pakistan.
The all new 6th gen HiAce made its debut earlier this year replacing the 5th generation that spanned for over 15 years. The new HiAce is built on a platform specially developed for this model. This is the first time that the HiAce gets a protruding bonnet, allowing new engines to be fitted. In addition to bonnet, the new HiAce gets angular headlamps, bolder grille with thick chrome bar, compact lower air intake and sportier bumper with vertical LED DRLs above the fog lamps.

The 6th generation HiAce comes in standard and high-roof body types. Measuring 5,915 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width and 2,800 mm in height with a wheelbase of 3,860 mm, the all-new HiAce is 535 mm longer, 70 mm wider and 5 mm lower compared to previous generation models. The wheelbase has also grown substantially by 750 mm.
The HiAce is powered by either a 1GD 2.8 liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine or a 7GR 3.5-liter petrol engine, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.8-liter engine is the same offered with the Fortuner and Hilux and is most likely to remain same for the Pakistani market.
