Kia has officially launched the 2020 Picanto facelift in its home market in South Korea whereas the car is marketed as Kia Morning. The 3rd gen Kia Picanto facelift is priced from KRW 1,17,50,000 which converts into PKR 1,531,730 (15.31 lac).

The 2020 Kia Picanto features revised front end featuring restyled headlamps & tail lamps, new grille and re-sculpted bumpers as well as new 16” alloy wheels. There are new colors added to the exterior color palette.
The interior in terms of design remains largely unchanged however it now features heated seats & 4.2-inch color MID and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which allows connecting to 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously. It also features cloud-based voice recognition using Kakao’s AI platform, wireless navigation data updates and various connected car services such as remote vehicle start, remote door locking/unlocking, remote AC control, etc. Furthermore, the system even packs Car to Home, which can control home internet of things (IoT) devices such as lights, plugs, AC & gas circuit breakers etc.
In terms of safety, Kia has added many advanced safety features to the Picanto facelift, including BCA (Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist), RCCA (Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist) RCCA, LKA (Lane Keeping Assist), FCA (Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist) and DAW (Driver Attention Warning).
Under the hood the Picanto facelift gets a re-tuned 1.0 liter naturally aspirated MPI petrol engine that delivers better fuel economy of up to 15.7 km in a liter. The 75hp & 95Nm unit comes paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission in its home market.

The Picanto facelift along with its performance oriented GT-Line versions are expected to be introduced in European and other international markets later this year. Pakistan however continues to get the 2nd generation model that was produced internationally between 2011 and 2017.
