Out of nowhere, Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has given yet another push to Kia prices in Pakistan citing depreciating currency value and rising freight cost as the reason behind the latest increase.
It is pertinent to mention that the prices of Kia vehicles in Pakistan already witnessed an increase in the month of January 2022. The latest price revision is effective from 1st March 2022.
According to the notification, Kia Picanto has received a price push of up to Rs 214,000 after which the Picanto MT is available for PKR 24.0 lac whereas the Picanto AT now cost PKR 25.0 lac. An increase of up to Rs 236,000 has been made to Sportage variants after which the Sportage Alpha is available at PKR 50.0 lac, the Sportage FWD at PKR 55.0 lac and Sportage AWD at PKR 60.0 lac.

The highest increase comes in case of the newly introduced Stonic B-segment crossover. With a Rs 400,000 increase the Stonic EX is now priced at PKR 41.5 lac whereas after a Rs 475,000 push, the Stonic EX+ now cost PKR 44.5 lac. The prices of imported Carnival and locally assembled Sorento remain unchanged, which once again gives us the hint of possible discontinuation of Sorento variants in Pakistan as the vehicle might get replaced with the new generation model somewhere down the line.
