Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has achieved cumulative production of over 3 crore units, adding another milestone to its list of accomplishments. This achievement involves production carried out at the company’s manufacturing sites in Hansalpur, Gujarat, and Gurugram, Manesar, Haryana.
Notably, Indian operations have achieved this milestone faster than any other Suzuki production base in a record 40 years and 4 months, dating back to the start of production in December 1983.
While over 2.68 crore vehicles have been manufactured at the company’s Haryana-based facilities, over 32 lac vehicles were produced at Suzuki Motor Gujarat, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MSIL. The legendary M800, which ushered in a mobility revolution in the country, contributed significantly to this milestone with over 29 lac units sold. Other top contributors include popular models like the Alto 800, Alto K10, Swift, Wagon R, Dzire, Omni, Baleno, Eeco, Brezza, and Ertiga.

Since its inception, the company has been maintaining its leadership in the domestic market. A strong foundation built by Maruti Suzuki with relevant products and technologies, an extensive sales and service network, and a robust supplier ecosystem have been key pillars of its success. The company commenced exports in 1987 and today contributes nearly 40% of the total vehicle exports from India.
