The MG5 Scorpio sedan has been formally launched in China, the vehicle debuted as a concept at 2021 Chengdu Auto Show last year.
The MG5 Scorpio comes as a sportier variant of regular MG5 sedan wearing redesigned bumpers, new smoked headlights, a new grille, black window frames, black mirrors, red brake calipers, a big black wing on the back, black alloy wheels, quad exhaust pipes at the back and of course a cool Scorpio emblem.
The interior of MG5 Scorpio is completely new, featuring a more modern twin-screen setup with a dual 12.3-inch screens with some cool graphics. There is a double-d cut multi-function steering wheel, sporty seats with gray and white leather and orange stitching, orange seatbelts and a space-ship like gear lever on a thick central tunnel.
Under the hood, the 2022 MG3 Scorpio gets powered by a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 181 hp of power and 285 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT gearbox a top speed of 200 km/h and fuel consumption rated at 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers (16.39 km/l).
Price is set at 102,900 yuan (PKR 29.85 lac) for the base version and goes as high as 117,900 yuan (PKR 34.20 lac) for the flagship variant.
