MG (Morris Garages) has launched the new MG 5 sports sedan in Bangladesh. The grand unveiling took place at MG’s flagship showroom in Dhaka, marking a key milestone in the company’s local portfolio.

Also known to as the MG GT, the MG 5 is the first sedan model to be added to MG Bangladesh’s lineup. The company already sells the HS, HS-PHEV, and ZS crossovers, the ZS EV electric, and the MG 3 hatchback.
Powering the MG 5 is a 1,500cc engine that comes in two guises. The base model gets a naturally aspirated engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) while the top-end variant gets a turbocharged engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The MG 5 prices start from BDT 36.0 lacs for the base version to reach BDT 39.0 lacs for the flagship turbo variant.
