Pak Suzuki has finally launched the new 4th gen Suzuki Swift hatchback in Pakistan after a stretchy 11-years tenure of the globally retired 2nd gen model. This generation of Swift had made its world debut in Japan back in December 2016.
The new Swift is available in three variants and two transmission options. The base GL variant comes with 5-speed manual transmission while the mid-spec GL gets CVT gearbox. The flagship variant is the GLX which also comes with a CVT transmission. The new Suzuki Swift variants in Pakistan are priced as:
- Swift GL Manual: Rs. 2,499,000
- Swift GL CVT: Rs. 2,699,000
- Swift GLX CVT: Rs. 2,899,000
Built on Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform, the Swift comes powered by a 1.2L K-series engine under its hood. The flagship variant comes equipped with LED headlamps with DRLs, fog lamps, push button engine start/ stop, 4-way adjustable multi-function steering wheel, 6 airbags, 9-inch infotainment system, cruise control, hill-start assist, smart key-less entry, climate control, reversing camera with parking sensors and 16-inch alloy wheels.

The old Swift was one of the most under-equipped cars on sale in Pakistan and remained seated at the bottom of domestic sales chart. However with rich configuration & a rather high price tag, will the new Suzuki Swift be able to sell smoothly in our market, we will have to wait to find out.
