The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been spotted testing for the first time in India. It is based on the latest generation Swift, and just like all the previous versions, will share the hatchback’s mechanicals and visual appearance.
The heavily camouflaged test mule reveals very few details but it does reveal some details such as the camera module on the side mirror, which means it will get the 360-degree parking feature. Plus there is a short pole antenna instead of the shark fin unit. Of course, there will be a new set of alloy wheels available.
No images of the vehicle’s front are available at this stage but it is likely to be similar to the new Swift with slight changes on the grille to differentiate the two products. The overall profile looks very similar to the outgoing generation of the Dzire. The new LED taillights make the rear look crisper than before. The boot seems flat and sharp to maximize the space within its 4-meter length. Some design modifications are also anticipated for the rear bumper.
The interior will get the same dashboard as the Swift but as always, it will come with a lighter dual-tone color scheme like beige and black or light grey and black compared to the hatchback’s all-black treatment. One of the images shows us a free-standing touchscreen unit that looks larger than the one in the new Swift. The car will likely get a heads-up display along with a wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto amongst other features.

The 2024 Dzire will be powered by a new Z-Series 1.2L naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 82 hp of power and 108 Nm of torque. The drive will be sent to the front wheels via either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The new Dzire will compete with the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor in the Indian market.
Dzire is considered among the most successful products in Maruti’s lineup in India with the subcompact sedan surpassing the 25 lac units sales milestone last year. Currently, it is priced from INR 6.56 lac (PKR 21.91 lac) for the base LXi variant to as high as INR 9.39 lac (PKR 31.36 lac) for the ZXi Plus AGS version. In addition to great success within the Indian market, Maruti Dzire is also exported to several markets including the Philippines, South Africa, Chile, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.
