Like most other automakers in recent times, Nissan is also about to revamp its brand identity. Trademark filings have already been made in most countries including Canada, Great Britain, Peru, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina.

The new Nissan logo takes on a two-dimensional appearance, similar in approach to those taken by Volkswagen and Lotus with their new identities. The new Nissan logo also had a preview of sorts with the debut of the Ariya concept, where it was mounted on a three-dimensional emblem on the concept’s front grille.
In addition Nissan is also developing a new Z logo which recalls the style employed on previous Nissan Z models. The new logo will be adorned by the current 370Z replacement which is just around the corner.

The new Nissan brand emblem may start appearing on the Japanese automaker’s new-age models that are expected to begin coming out towards the end of this year.
