Pak Suzuki has just announced its first price hike of the year 2024. The notification on 29th February makes Suzuki cars in Pakistan expensive by up to Rs 180,000. The company hasn’t mentioned any reason behind the price increase.
According to the notification, the price of 660cc Suzuki Alto variants has witnessed a hike from Rs 80,000 to up to Rs 110,000. This brings the price of the base Alto VX to Rs 23.31 lac while the top-spec Alto VXL AGS now retails at Rs 30.45 lac, officially entering into the Rs 3 million domain.
The price of Suzuki Swift goes up by Rs 85,000 after which the base GL MT variant now costs Rs 44.21 lac whereas the flagship GLX CVT variant costs Rs 51.25 lac. The most devastating increase comes with the Cultus variants, which see their prices go up by Rs 140,000 to up to Rs 180,000. This takes the price of the base Cultus VXR to Rs 38.58 lac, while the top-spec Cultus AGS is now available for Rs 45.46 lac.
The notification doesn’t mention Ravi, Bolan, and Wagon R, which implies that their prices remain intact for now. The revised prices are effective from the 1st of March 2024.
Earlier, Kia Pakistan also announced an increase in prices of selected variants. But with Pak Suzuki now announcing a massive price revision, other auto assemblers might follow suit.
