Pak Suzuki Removes CBU Lineup From its Website

Pak Suzuki, the largest auto assembler in Pakistan has silently removed its CBU imported lineup from its website. For many years the company was offering a range of imported products such as the Vitara, Jimny, and APV but now none of them seems to be available.

While Pak Suzuki already discontinued the imported Mega Carry pickup and Ciaz sedan back in 2020 due to hopeless sales and later pulled the plugs off the Vitara in the following year, the company had a strong faith in the likes of APV and Jimny– each one of these receiving successive price revisions over the years despite their sales next to nothing.

Before getting faded away from the website, the Suzuki APV was available for PKR 62.90 lac while Jimny was available for PKR 60.49 with their last price revision implemented in April 2022. Not to mention the APV which was launched in 2005 for PKR 9.8 lac witnessed a whopping 542% increase in price during all these years. On the other hand, the Jimny arrived here in 2019 with a price tag of PKR 38.9 lac and saw a 55% increase in price within just 3 years of presence in the market.

With the ongoing economic despair and the restrictions on the import of CBU vehicles imposed by the State Bank of Pakistan to save precious foreign reserves, it seems Pak Suzuki has decided to say goodbye to its imported range of offerings. Although there is no formal announcement in this regard, it’s very obvious that the chapter of APV & Jimny as well as the imported range of Suzuki cars in Pakistan has been closed, at least for now.
