While approving the recommendations made by OGRA, federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products as well as LPG effective from the 1st of January 2020.
As per notification, an increase of up to 3.2% on various petroleum products has been made for the first month of the New Year. After the increase, petrol price went up from Rs 113.99 per liter to Rs 116.60 per liter, HSD (High Speed Diesel) price increased to Rs 127.61 per liter from Rs 125.01 per liter. The rate of LDO (Light Diesel Oil) got increased to Rs 84.51 per liter from Rs 82.43 per liter, whereas kerosene price went up from the Rs 96.35 to Rs 99.45 per liter.
Meanwhile, the government has also increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by Rs 277.79 to Rs 1,791.48 per 11.8/kg cylinder for January 2020. For end consumers, the new LPG price which got increased by 23.54/kg (18.3%) is now available for Rs 151.82/kg.
