Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has increased the prices of Peugeot 2008 variants in Pakistan for the second time within 2 months in wake of an increased 18% GST recently imposed by the government.
The company notified the increase via a social media post indicating a Rs 51,000 hike in the price of the Active variant while a Rs 57,000 increase has been made to the price of the flagship Allure variant. After the implementation, the new price of Peugeot 2008 Active is PKR 59.50 lac while the Allure variant is now available for PKR 66.56 lac.
Already battling with declining sales, the constant price hikes are nothing less than another major blow to the ailing auto sector of the country.
