Lucky Motor Company (LMC) is on the verge of introducing the Peugeot 2008 crossover in Pakistan. Line off ceremony was already held towards the end of December 2021 hinting an imminent launch of the vehicle. As per Peugeot Pakistan website, the company will also introduce the bigger 3008 and 5008 CUVs once the 2008 is formally launched.
And now for the first time we have images of couple of 3008 CUV units parked alongside a 2008 in Karachi. Bigger than the 2008, the Peugeot 3008 will have 1.6L PureTech turbocharged petrol engine good for 162hp and will be paired to 6-speed automatic gearbox. According to information, the 3008 will likely see its formal launch towards the middle of this year.

Details related to features & equipment as well as pricing is unknown at this stage, however its speculated to be priced higher than PKR 5.6 million. Interesting thing will be to see how LMC is going to price these Peugeot crossovers since they will never want to cannibalize the market of their cash cow– the Kia Sportage which is currently priced at PKR 46.5 lac for Alpha, PKR 51.5 lac for FWD and PKR 56.5 lac for the flagship AWD variant.
