After making its debut in its home market of Japan, the all-new Suzuki Swift has been revealed for European markets. The Euro-spec Swift slightly differs from the Japanese version.
The differences mainly lie on the front end. First, the grille has a thinner mesh pattern compared to the Japanese version. Secondly, there are no chromic surrounds or chrome embellishments up front. Finally, the fog lamps have been eliminated, leaving the front of the new Swift with a concave contour overall, giving it a cleaner, wider appearance.
The interior is the same as the Japanese model, including the multi-function slat-bottom steering wheel, a floating 9-inch central touch screen, and the gray plastic trim that contrasts with the chrome strip. The European version, however, has additional optional equipment. While the automatic variant comes with an electric brake with an Auto Brake Hold function, the standard models will still use the traditional handbrake lever instead.
Powering the European-spec Swift is the same Z12E DOHC 16-valve 3-cylinder engine as deployed in the Japanese version. Suzuki is yet to reveal the details regarding the electric motor that will be assisting the mild hybrid setup, or the tune of the engine whether it remains the same in terms of output or has been recalibrated for the European markets. Transmission options, however, are known which will be either a 5-speed manual or CVT.

More details will be available closer to the launch as the new Suzuki Swift is scheduled to go on sale in various European countries by March 2024.
