Toyota C-HR Facelift Debuts

Toyota has unveiled the C-HR facelift for the European markets featuring new & improved hybrid powertrains, a new multimedia system as well as minor exterior design enhancements.

The C-HR facelift gets a restyled front bumper and new LED headlight & tail lights. The front bumper features LED DRLs and indicators now combined into one frontal projector, while the new rear combination lamps are connected by a gloss black spoiler creating a single clean shape. Other visual enhancements include a new painted lower lip and fresh alloy wheel designs.

Inside, the C-HR facelift gets a new multimedia system featuring a larger 8-inch touchscreen with full smartphone integration and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. It also supports ‘over the air’ map updates for its navigation system.

Two hybrid powertrain options will be available– the 2ZR-FXE 1.8 liter Atkinson-cycle engine mated to an electric motor with 72 hp and 163 Nm motor retains its combined 122 hp output. Additionally there is also a new 184 hp 2.0 liter Hybrid Dynamic Force variant on offer.

Toyota says the tuning of the electric power steering has been modified for improved steering feel. Plus the automaker has also improved the insulation of C-HR across the entire model range with the inclusion of an upgraded NVH pack to reduce cabin noise levels. The 2.0 liter hybrid variant also features a new suspension design, said to improve ride comfort.
