Honda is all set to launch the updated N-One kei car in Japan that will make its debut towards the end of this year. Inspired from the classic N360, the N-One made its debut in 2012 and received a facelift in 2017.

The new model will retain the familiar retro-styled appearance with styling changes including LED headlamps surrounded by circular DRLs, tweaked bumpers, a redesigned tail lamp cluster with a light ring and individual diodes to create a more distinctive lighting signature.

Inside, the new N-One gets an entirely new dashboard design inspired from the latest Fit/ Jazz. It gives an oddball look, with circular air vents for the driver, while rectangular-shaped ones are for the passengers. The steering wheel and instrument cluster feature an all-new design while a center touchscreen sits prominently at the center of the dashboard with hazard button, climate control & USB ports located underneath.

Honda will offer the N-One in three guises– Standard, Premium and RS with 14” and 15” wheel options. The variants are differentiated from each other with cosmetic enhancements. Honda is yet to give official details related to the engines but as per reports it will continue to get powered by 660cc engine producing 58 hp and 65 Nm, paired to a CVT and all-wheel drive. However the new N-One RS will receive a turbocharged S07A 660cc unit with 64hp and 104Nm and a 6-speed manual transmission.

In terms of safety, the Honda Sensing suite will be standard on the N-One for the first time, with a number of functions including autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, false start suppression, road sign recognition and automatic high beam.
