VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is set to officially enter the Indian market at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo which is scheduled to take place from January 17 to 22, 2025.

Earlier this year, in February, the company announced its plans to construct a new manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Chennai. This initiative was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony and will now be followed by the automaker showcasing its lineup at the upcoming motor show.
VinFast is expected to present its full range of EVs, starting from the compact VF e34 to the flagship VF 7 SUV. Alongside unveiling its vehicle lineup, the company is likely to reveal its plans for setting up showrooms and sales networks in India. Operations are projected to commence in the latter half of 2025. Similar to BYD, VinFast offers an entirely electric portfolio, making it the second all-electric vehicle manufacturer to establish operations in the Indian market.
The premium EV segment, particularly in the price range above INR17 lac, is anticipated to witness significant growth over the next two years. VinFast aims to capitalize on this booming demand. The VF e34 is expected to be its inaugural offering for India, positioned to compete with a range of upcoming and existing electric SUVs such as the Maruti eVitara, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE.06, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, the Honda Elevate-based EV, and the Skoda Kushaq EV.
