The Xiaomi SU7 sedan has achieved an impressive milestone with 130,000 units delivered in China, completing its full-year adjusted goal in just 9 months. Over 30,000 units were delivered from November 13 alone.
Launched on March 28, the Xiaomi SU7 is a mid-to-high-end electric sedan priced between 215,900 and 229,900 yuan (approximately $29,600–$31,500 USD). The car quickly garnered attention by securing 50,000 orders within just 27 minutes of its debut. Despite initial production hiccups, the vehicle attracted significant demand, prompting Xiaomi to boost production multiple times. By December 28, the automaker surpassed the 130,000th delivery milestone.
Originally targeting 100,000 units for 2024, Xiaomi adjusted its delivery goal after scaling production to 20,000 units per month in June. The company’s ability to meet the revised target in just 275 days underscores the growing appeal of the SU7 and Xiaomi’s capacity to ramp up production efficiently.
In its first full month of sales, Xiaomi delivered 10,000 SU7 cars to buyers. Over the next 198 days, the automaker sold an additional 90,000 vehicles, reaching 100,000 units by November 13. In just 45 more days, Xiaomi delivered another 30,000 cars, bringing the total to an impressive 130,000 units. According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi recorded 16,328 sales in December alone—a remarkable achievement for a car launched in late Q1 of this year.
On December 28, 2023, Xiaomi marked the first anniversary of the SU7 EV’s official debut. Looking ahead, the automaker plans to launch the second-phase car plant next year, significantly increasing production capacity and driving sales growth. Additionally, Xiaomi has ambitious plans for 2025, with two new models on the horizon: the three-motor SU7 Ultra sedan and the Xiaomi YU7 crossover, further strengthening the brand’s presence.
