Zeekr 007 Electric Sedan Rolls Off the Production Line in China

Geely’s first batch of mass-produced Zeekr 007 pure electric sedans started to roll off the production lines in China. Pre-sale began at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November, with a starting price of 229,900 yuan ($31,800).

Within 48 hours of the sedan’s pre-sale, over 20,000 orders were placed, reflecting the overwhelmingly favorable reception the model received. Delivery will start on January 1, 2024, with the debut of two variants on December 27: Standard (CLTC 688 km) and Ultra-Long-Range (CLTC 870 km).

Zeekr 007 is a mid-size sedan with dimensions of 4,865/1,900/1,450 mm with a wheelbase of 2,928mm. The model features a brand new design language created by Stefan Seilaff and the Zeekr Design Center Team in Gothenburg, Sweden. 007 boasts an integrated light curtain which according to Geely, is the first hidden penetrating front face design in the world. The fascia integrates the light strip, daytime running lights, and headlights, which make the front turn black once the lights are off.

The interior of the EV features a 15.05-inch display with Kr GPT AI integrated and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The car comes with an advanced driving assistance system, equipped with lidar, 12 high-definition cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and an NVIDIA Orin X chip. According to Zeekr, the interior is primarily made of renewable, low-carbon materials, such as water-based PU leather and 100% recyclable fabric. Furthermore, Nappa leather materials are used to envelop the seats.

Zeekr 007 underpins a PMA2+ (SEA) platform that supports 800V architecture & double-wishbone suspension and features the state-of-the-art Golden Brick battery self-developed by Geely. It is the world’s fastest mass-produced lithium iron phosphate battery with a maximum charging power of 500 kW, a maximum charging rate of 4.5C, and a 15-minute charging time that can replenish the battery life by more than 500 km.
