Hyundai is all set to launch the 2020 Verna facelift in Chinese market. China has always been the first market to receive new models or facelift when it comes to Hyundai Verna.

The current generation Verna made its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show back in September 2016 and is now ready to get the facelift after a span of 3 years. The forthcoming model will boast noticeable changes with front-end getting reminiscent of the China-only Hyundai Lafesta. The new grille, headlamps and bumper infuse together to make the fascia much sharper.
The rear-end is again very much inspired from the Lafesta and the new Sonata with slim connected tail lamps and chiseled bumper. Although the interior images aren’t available at this point, however it is believed to remain similar to the pre-facelift model.

Hyundai Verna in China is available with naturally aspirated 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter petrol engines paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Reportedly the Verna facelift is likely to receive a CVT gearbox.
Verna has been a popular subcompact in key markets; however the current design updates are likely to remain specific to the Chinese market. For other parts of the world the design treatment is expected to be less outlandish.
